U.S. Astronauts reveal encounters with apparent Extraterrestrials and UFOs
(1)
Posted by Anthony on Oct 18, 2008 @ 09:52
Rumors have persisted for years that the astronauts -- nearly all of whom are military officers susceptible to being silenced under orders -- may have seen something more on the Moon than rocks and dust.

According to transcripts of the technical debriefing following the Apollo 11 mission, astronauts Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin and Michael Collins told of an encounter with a large cylindrical UFO even before reaching the Moon," U.S. investigative journalist and researcher Jim Marrs documents Mr. Aldrin further officially presented his encounters with apparent Extraterrestrials on CNN's Larry King Show.

Jim Marrs further presents that Mr. Aldrin said, "The first unusual thing that we saw I guess was one day out or pretty close to the Moon. It had a sizable dimension to it". Aldrin said the Apollo crew at first thought the object was the Saturn 4 booster rocket (S-IVB); but, he added, "We called the ground and were told the S-IVB was 6,000 miles away."

Mice get blame for fire that massacred 100 cats
(1)
Posted by Anthony on Dec 19, 2008 @ 13:29
Not only did he survive a raging inferno that killed scores of pets two days ago, but he's just gone to a loving new home.

The 15-month-old Shih Tzu was one of nine dogs rescued by firefighters as an early morning blaze gutted Durham Region Humane Society's animal shelter in Oshawa.

The $250,000 fire is still under investigation by the Ontario Fire Marshal's office, but shelter manager Ruby Richards said preliminary reports indicate it started in the ceiling and may – a sad irony for the cats – have been sparked by mice chewing through electrical wires.

"It was devastating," Harley's new owner, Judy Hannah, said of the fire. She and her husband, Barry, feared Harley, whom they had already adopted, was among the victims because he was at the Waterloo St. shelter waiting to be neutered before they could take him home.

"He is a sweetheart," Barry said yesterday as the happy pup wriggled in his arms after they collected him from the Oshawa Animal Services sh ...

Man sprays 'toilet-papering' teens with fox pee

Posted by Anthony on Dec 31, 2008 @ 15:05
WILLMAR, Minn. - A 50-year-old man who told authorities he was fed up with teens toilet-papering his house decided to defend his property — with a squirt gun filled with fox urine.

Now, Scott Wagar is in trouble with the law.

Wagar pleaded not guilty on Wednesday in Kandiyohi County District Court to misdemeanor assault and other charges. He was released on personal recognizance.

According to police, Wagar was on his property Sept. 16 when he used night vision goggles to see 15-20 people running toward his place. He told police that he told them to leave, swore at them and sprayed them with the fox urine. He also allegedly struggled with one of the teens.

A phone message left at a home listing for a Scott Wagar was not immediately returned to The Associated Press. ...

Jeff Peckman, a Denver resident and believer in alien life, has begun the work of putting a ballot initiative to the city's voters that would, if passed, establish an "extraterrestrial affairs commission" made up of 18 members appointed by the mayor to ensure public safety in the event that aliens -- or their vehicles, according to the ballot language -- were to arrive in the Mile High City.

Peckman has already met with the city council in a fact-finding question-and-answer meeting. He received approval from the city clerk to start going after the 4,000 signatures he needs to get his initiative on a ballot, a task he has 180 days to complete.

Before beginning that work, Peckman vowed to show a video to members of the media that he claimed has cemented his belief that aliens exist and that it would be prudent to prepare for the inevitable encounter.

"It's the best evidence I've seen," said Peckman of a roughly one-minute snippet of footage he showed this morning in Denver. ...

Paranormal Business

This television season, we're seeing a revival of paranormal TV shows and movies -fiction, fact, and factual fiction.

"It seems that everyone wants a piece of the pie. This upcoming season, five additional television series on the paranormal will hit networks to air nationwide including titles like Ghost Whisper, One Step Beyond, and Shadow Hunter among last season's favorites like Ghost Hunters, and Most Haunted" said Sandra Heglund of Western New York Paranormal of Rochester. What does this mean to the paranormal community?

First, the increased interest in the paranormal phenomenon has many amateur investigators grabbing their cameras and recorders seeking to find the unknown. But this has also caused many money motivated people to seek out compensation for their research and cleansing services.

Ghostbusters has seen to move from the big screen into real life. With so many self proclaimed experts in the field - paranormal investigation companies, psychics, astrologers, demonolo ...

Closed-circuit security cameras at Hampton Court Palace, the huge Tudor castle outside London, seem to have snagged an ethereal visitor. Could it be a ghost?

"We're baffled too -- it's not a joke, we haven't manufactured it," said Vikki Wood, a Hampton Court spokeswoman, when asked if the photo the palace released was a Christmas hoax. "We genuinely don't know who it is or what it is." ...

Supernatural Cleaning Methods

The chill of autumn has arrived, and it’s time to make your home cozy and snug. Replace those broken shingles, seal the window frames, start the water boiling and throw in some scented nutmegy things, or a rabbit if you’ve been disappointed in love. But what to do about that ghost that has been making such a racket, scaring the guests and making it impossible to sleep? Sure, you can kid yourself that it’s a squirrel on the roof or a rattling pipe or a fog that comes up from time to time. (On Narragansett Bay? Sure, pal, that’s credible.) But eventually, when guests and family members become truly frightened, something must be done. ...

A Visit with the Hotel del Coronado's Ghost
(0)
Posted by Anthony on Dec 03, 2008 @ 11:13
Journeying to historic hotels to encounter the guests that never check out is a pastime of many travelers, particularly at Halloween. According to many recorded events, the ghost of the young woman found shot on the beach steps of the Hotel del Coronado in November of 1892 still inhabits that Victorian landmark propert making this a favorite year-round destination for fans of the spirit world.

Why? Because the ghost of the Hotel del Coronado holds a special fascination for many. It may be that her story –a young, possibly pregnant woman traveling alone strikes a chord. Her story is heartbreaking. It may be that her life, and death, remains very much a mystery. ...

Salem's Witch House slams the door on ghost hunters
(0)
Posted by Anthony on Apr 09, 2009 @ 07:09
This old city, some say, is locked in an eternal wrestling match with itself. Is this the historic seaport of art and culture, or the "Witch City" of psychics and ghost tours?

The Park and Recreation Commission ventured into that quicksand this week when it denied a request by a group of paranormal investigators from Rhode Island to search for ghosts in the Witch House, the former home of Jonathan Corwin, an infamous judge during the Witch Trials of 1692.

In essence, a majority of the board — only three of the five members were present — said it would be in bad taste to allow ghost hunters to go inside an historic, 17th-century house that is tied to such an important and tragic event.

"We have to have respect for the gravity of the injustice that occurred in 1692," member Chris Burke said.

After the rejection, Spirit Finders Paranormal Investigators said they were "severely disappointed."

They asked questions that others have asked: How could a city that licenses ...

Photo captures image of an 'angel' in hospital hallway

When Chelsea Banton was born five weeks prematurely, doctors predicted she had 36 hours to live.

Proving them wrong was the first miracle for Chelsea, now an Independence High School freshman.

“She spent the first four months in a neonatal intensive care unit,” recalls her mother, Colleen Banton of Mint Hill.

Before Chelsea was 2, she was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia, the first of several dangerous run-ins with the illness that have made her a familiar face in Presbyterian's pediatric intensive care unit.

Among other health problems in her medical history: hydrocephalus, requiring a shunt in her skull and, later, several shunt revisions; life-threatening viruses; and, this past July, fluid retention that required more than a week's hospitalization and three liters of liquid to be drawn from her body.

Prayer has helped sustain the whole family.

“We had been praying every day, my oldest daughter and I and Chelsea,” Colleen Banton said. “…Praying for ...

Ufologists Pick up IntraTerrestrial Waves
(0)
Posted by Anthony on Aug 04, 2006 @ 22:36
Two scientists affiliated to the Fundación Instituto Biofísico de Investigaciones (FICI) headquartered in La Matanza and directed by Pedro Romaniuk, one of the most well-known analysts of the UFO phenomenon and an author of 20 books on the subject, claimed having picked up radioactive signatures, microwaves, levels of electricity and oscillations originating from the depths of the earth.

Omar Hesse and Jorge Millstein surveyed the mountains surrounding Cachi last week -- 157 km from the capital and 2,280 meters above sea level. After applying a Russian tester in the vicinity of the Nevado de Cachi, they concluded that the signals are not natural in origin, and rather originate by machinery operated by intelligent beings (sic).

"The oscillations clearly indicate that kilometers beneath the surface there is activity: alternating electrical waves, which means a power source," said Hesse. "This could mean engines," he added.

The area was not chosen at random: it was base ...

Believers keep eye on Pine Bush sky

During the cleanup at Ground Zero two years ago, a National Guard reservist took some photographs of the site.
When he got them developed, he noticed dozens of round, blue, semi-opaque spots in the pictures. He showed the photos to his pal, Jim Smith.
"My friend figured there was something wrong with the film," said Smith, a 49-year-old sergeant at Woodbourne Correctional Facility. "But I knew what they were right away."
Smith told his friend that the camera had captured images of orbs - also called Tesla globes. He explained that the orbs are associated with UFO and alien activity on Earth. They can't be seen with the naked eye. They show up only on film.
And he told his friend that he'd never seen so many orbs in one place before.
"You mean to tell me you've seen these things before?" his friend asked.
"Of course," Smith said. "All the time. After all, I'm from Pine Bush."

Object Seen Floating Outside ISS Is Likely Tag
(0)
Posted by Anthony on Aug 04, 2006 @ 19:56
NASA believes that a small object spotted floating outside the International Space Station Thursday is likely an identification tag from an external power or data cable, according to a report.

Astronaut Ed Lu spotted the object outside the window of the U.S. laboratory and took pictures of it, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.

Ground controllers reportedly observed Lu's photos and e-mailed images of possible matches to the astronaut for identification.

Agency spokesman Kyle Herring said that Lu selected the example resembling one of the many numbered tags used to identify power and data cables in outside the space station, The Houston Chronicle reported.

The loss of the tag is not considered a safety hazard or an operational problem, according to an official.

Lu and cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko are in the middle of a six-month stay aboard the station.

They are expected to be relieved in October by another two-man crew, who will fly on a Russian Soyuz to the station. ...

The mayor of a Brazilian town says he has cancelled a planned landing by an alien spaceship during this week's Brazil v Peru football match.

Elcio Berti told Estado de Sao Paulo online: "I cancelled the landing because I was worried they might abduct one of the Brazilian footballers."

Mr Berti, the Mayor of Bocaiuva do Sul, claims to be in regular touch with aliens and says they are helping to fund a UFO landing pad he's building in the town.

The mayor first hit the headlines when he issued a decree banning all birth control methods in Bocaiuva do Sul to try and boost the number of pregnancies to increase federal funding. ...

Goldberg: Ghost of Toto
(0)
Posted by Anthony on Aug 04, 2006 @ 17:16
I have a student who believes that Jeff Porcaro, the late drummer of the band Toto, is haunting her house. She states this as absolute fact, as if it isn't even a remote possibility that the ghost is John Bonham or Keith Moon. It is Jeff Porcaro and that is that.

"Did you know him?" I asked. We were sitting at a campus eatery dining on bagels and drinking coffee just like normal people might do, except that one of us was having a Poltergeist experience of the prog-rock variety.

"I'd never even heard of him before we met on the Ouija board," my student said. "I've found subsequently that I don't really care for his music."

By day, my student is a corporate concierge, which means she spends most of her sun-lit hours doing soul-scorching tasks such as arranging hotel rooms for visiting mistresses, procuring tickets to Carrot Top shows and generally acting the role of in-house bitch for the corporations that use her services. In the evening, however, my student ...
